Hi, I’m the founder of Playful Monday — and a mom to a spirited 3-year-old girl.

I started Playful Monday as a full-time working mom who used to dread weekdays — and of course, Monday was my least favorite. I was constantly exhausted, juggling work, pick-ups, dinner, laundry, and everything in between. I felt like I was moving through the week in survival mode, and at some point, I knew something had to change.

Then came the mornings. My daughter would wake up before the sun, full of joy just because a new day had begun. Most mornings, she’d march into our bedroom banging her toy pots like drums, full of excitement and making the silliest face. I’d get treated to complimentary in-bed breakfast — a wooden slice of apple and a plastic tea cup full of air, served with great pride. Our sleepy dog would scramble behind her trying to keep up. It was loud, chaotic, and completely wonderful.

She didn’t care if it was Monday or Saturday — every day was worth celebrating. That kind of joy and presence, that natural excitement for what’s next, shifted something in me. I wanted to build a life — and a brand — that carried that same spirit.

That’s how Playful Monday began. From one joyful kid, one tired mom, and a desire to see mornings differently. And somewhere along the way, I started liking Mondays too.
